Somesh Lalithraj

Senior Vice President, Quality, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs

Somesh Lalithraj has held progressive leadership roles and currently leads the global Quality, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs teams at Cepheid. He joined the organization in 2017, following the Danaher (DHR) acquisition of Cepheid, and has been responsible for architecting Cepheid’s favorable regulatory and compliance status with the FDA and other competent authorities worldwide.

Somesh started his Danaher career in early 2012 with Beckman Coulter and has held multiple roles, including that of a Danaher Business Systems Leader for the QRC organization. Prior to Danaher, he spent close to a decade with Boston Scientific in varying roles, including expat stints in Japan.

Somesh is a passionate Quality & Regulatory advocate and currently serves as an Advisory Board member as well as a part-time Adjunct Faculty member at St. Cloud State University, MN.

He earned a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras and the University of Minnesota, respectively. He also holds a Master's in Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.
