Patrick Harkins

Patrick Harkins

Vice President, Global Strategy

Patrick joined Cepheid in June 2024, and prior to that he served as Senior Director, BD for the Danaher Diagnostic Platform for three years. During that time, he drove significant advancements in Danaher’s perspective on oncology diagnostics and genomics and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) as a diagnostic platform; he was also instrumental in the acquisition of ArcherDx’s NGS research assays by IDT. Prior to Danaher, Patrick held leadership positions in the diagnostics and life sciences tools industry as VP, Strategy and Corporate Development at HTG Molecular Diagnostics and as part of the Strategy & BD organization at Agilent Technologies. He began his career at L.E.K. Consulting where he was a member of the Diagnostics & Life Sciences Tools practice based out of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Patrick will be responsible for the evolution of our strategy by developing and monitoring our strategic plans, mitigating areas of risk, coordinating cross-functionally to deliver on our strategic goals, and advancing us towards new long-term growth opportunities.

Patrick earned his B.S. in Biology from Loyola Marymount University and Master of Bioscience from The Keck Graduate Institute of the Claremont Colleges.
