Deborah Gonyea
Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Through her work at Beckman Coulter—which Danaher acquired in 2011—Deborah Gonyea has been under the Danaher umbrella for over 25 years. Beginning as a financial analyst, Deborah worked her way up to Chief Financial Officer, while leading Beckman Coulter through incredible growth.
Deborah’s rich career in finance began after earning her Bachelor of Science in finance from Pepperdine University in 2000. After working as a financial analyst at Beckman Coulter, she was soon promoted to Senior Financial Analyst, specializing in immunoassay, and overseeing millions of dollars in revenue. In 2006, Deborah began working as a business financial manager, while simultaneously working on her MBA, which she earned in 2007 from the University of California, Irvine.
Only a year later, Deborah became the Financial Director of Supply Chain Management, all while making time for continued learning through kaizens. In 2017, Deborah’s career at Beckman Coulter culminated as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
In April of 2021, Deborah left a storied career at Beckman Coulter to bring her talents to Cepheid, where she now serves as Vice President and CFO.
