Piotr Zima

Chief Information Officer

Piotr Zima serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Cepheid, where he leads the company's global Information Technology organization. He is responsible for advancing Cepheid's digital transformation strategy, accelerating AI and data-driven innovation, and strengthening technology capabilities that support growth, operational excellence, and improved healthcare outcomes worldwide.

Piotr is a forward-looking technology executive with a proven track record of translating strategy into measurable business impact across complex, innovation-driven environments. Prior to joining Cepheid, he served as Vice President and CIO at Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), where he led accelerated digital modernization initiatives and advanced an AI-first strategy across manufacturing and commercial operations, positioning technology as a key driver of growth, scale, and operational excellence.

Before IDT, Piotr served as Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Danaher Corporation, where he architected the company's first enterprise-wide data platform and helped establish data as a strategic asset across operating companies. His leadership laid the foundation for enterprise-scale analytics, governance, and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Earlier in his career, Piotr spent six years at Cytiva, leading end-to-end data analytics and Finance IT functions. During a period of significant transformation, he played a pivotal role in guiding a global IT organization and helping shape the company's technology and data capabilities.

Piotr holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University. He resides in the Boston area.
